To all CAHS members

After a couple of quiet years, we now have many activities in the 2 - 3 months. To keep you up to date, please note the following –

Our Devonshire Teas proved so popular at the Markets in June, we are serving them again on Sunday August 21st and Sunday November 20th from 10am – 12.30pm. Why not join us – at $8 for 2 scones, jam and cream with tea or coffee you won’t get a better deal!

Glenalvon will be open on the September, October and December Market Sundays with a Trash and Treasure Stall in December. More information to come.

Thank you to everyone who has offered to help this Sunday.

Change of dates – as mentioned earlier we have changed the date of the September Members Meeting to the third Saturday – 17th.

In order to fit in with the launch of the next Grist Mills, it has been decided to also change the October Members Meeting – now the third Saturday 15th. Apologies for any inconvenience.

School excursions - it is a long time since we have welcomed school students to Glenalvon , but that is about to change.

6th September – 15 students from Airds High School

20th September – 44 students from St. Thomas More Public School

October 18th – 140 (in two groups of 70) students from Blairmount Public School.

13th September - a small group having morning tea and tour of Glenalvon. Again it has been a while!

Anyone who is able to assist on these days will be very welcome – just let us know!

To ease some of the workload, Council has given permission for us to cancel the open morning on the 1st Monday of the month for the rest of this year or as long as the Sunday Markets are held.

Save the date – Saturday October 29th is 75 years to the date Campbelltown & Airds Historical Society was officially formed. To celebrate this special date we will have an afternoon tea for members and guests.  More information on this soon.

So a lot of activities, if you have any questions or would like to help at any time please give me a call – 0418493676 or email

Best wishes to all
